As the Vienna metal band HAPPL was dissolved in spring 1996, drummer Tom Kräutner and lead-guitar player Thomas Pippersteiner decided to go the way of a melodious power metal band, which should not miss hardness and professionalism.
During busy working on concept and songs, they were searching intesnsivly for suitable members. Soon they met Hans-Peter Rapp, who now is bassist of the band.
This was the basis for a solid musical cooperation and the band chose the name Demolition.
However the further search for a suitable man turned out more difficult than expected. After innumerable hearings the line-up was completed with Uwe H. Kurz in April 1997.
From now on the rehearsals were intensivated and songs and stage show perfected. After hard work finally the first concert was performed on 10th of October, 1997.
Due to musical arguments the band had to secede from Uwe H. Kurz. His part took over Peter Musch and from the rehearsals for the first CD on he was singer and played the rhythm-guitar.
Since the appearing of the CD, "... in the beginning" on 26th of May 1998, the band Demolition is on extensive Austria-tour as well as plans for further appearences in Austria and other countries were made. Beside new material is in production and a new CD is soon to come.
